Another question on a similar topic, where the rear brake lines join from hard/soft and soft/hard, what is the correct fastener arrangement?

Washers/lock washers/nut/nylon nuts/copper washers?!?!?

For my 2 cents worth, I have never seen the battery cable run over the outside of the rear subframe Always behind the subframe. I have mk1 Cooper S, mini deluxe, Clubman van and they are all routed against the body before the subframe is fitted. I have never seen a use for that little angle bracket?

I have read a few opinions of this, I have no reason to believe the subframe has ever been out of my car, my battery cable runs under the subframe and uses the little clip.

So to confirm, the correct sequence for the rubber brake hoses at the rear would be: Rubber Hose fitting passes through subframe without a washer, shakeproof style washer sits against the subframe secured by a standard (not nyloc) nut?

Yes, your description is the correct sequence for the rubber brake hoses

Can anyone here recommend where best to locate a complete brake pipe set? Getting to that stage now, and figured I'd be better off spending a bit more and ensuring it's all up to shape in one hit.
thanks.

MKO has all the Mini brake pipes based on the original factory drawings so they fit without further bending, although getting the long one to you in Perth may be a bit of an issue. Alternatively any good brake business will be able to make them up for you. Of course many on here do it themselves with the right material and tools.
