Im needing to get some replacement heritage panels for my Mk2 S.

Ive been researching the exact Heritage panels i need but not exactly sure which type i need as theres quite a few different types and knowing that there are differences from our Aussie minis compared to the UK minis. I know there are little differences between particular types/years and this is stopping me from making the right decision and ordering.

If anyone could tell me the correct part number of the correct panels i need it would be greatly appreciated!

The car this is all for is a 7/70 Mk2 Cooper S.

Im needing a:

-Front apron
-Full sills L&R
-A panels L&R
-A panels inner L&R


Any advice that i can cross reference with what I've found would be greatly appreciated.

Australian outer sills are slightly different to the uk ones

Flute was looking for an original front apron for ages but I think he went with Adrian Read to fix up the one he has. Lots of small things that need fixing up on the aftermarket front aprons.

I spoke with Adrian when he came to look at the car and suggested getting a heritage front apron and that he will fix all the little differences to make it it correct.

What I have on the car isn't bad but has been knocked around over it's life and may be more work/cost in beating it out than simply just replacing the whole apron. The passenger side front wing needs to be replaced as it's been replaced already a long time ago and the headlight hole is different. I've already got a heritage panel to replace this.

I'm really torn between replacing panels (apron) as I'm wanting to keep it as original as possible...

If you know what you are doing replace the panels. It takes about 2 hours to fix the new apron ,no body filler, The front guard should be spot welded on ,plug MIG may be ok, you will have to finish the welds so they look like spot welds.
You will have to rework the back edge of the guard to get correct bonnet gaps.DO not corner weld on the A panel cut old A panel 10mm from edge and the new panel 5mm from edge and underlap the new panel you can do the lap weld with minimum distortion. Also guard to front panel cut out small V sections with snips use vise grips and weld the V with the MIG on 3. You don't want to distort the guard or front apron. This can all be done with no distortion.
