Does the red + wire go onto the large tab connector on the tank fuel sender?

My '69-70 minis have a green/black lead going to the insulated terminal on the fuel tank sender (in the boot). Red leads are mostly instrument illumination lights.

Another thought: Red/green trace are the rear tail lights LH and RH.
