while driving Herman he just turned off - no acceleration with throttle
as it slowed down, the gears downshifted

jumped out, changed dissy - nothing
rules out condenser, points,

changed coil - nothing
rules out coil

checked wiring - nothing loose

checked float bowl - no sign of water

when you turn him over, he turns and turns. the rotor also turns
but theres no ignition
battery is good, good turn over speed

any ideas?

Are you getting fuel into the carby? Pull the fuel line off the carby and grab a 1.25l coke bottle and stick it in that then turn the motor over a few times and see how much comes out.

Do you have spark going to the Plugs
And it does sound like a Fuel Issue

If u got spark its fuel.

Josh n I squeezed out the problem
had spark
turned over

put fuel down the air intake
soaked up the float bowl fuel

and away it went
