Hi can we use a side exit distributor cap with the original 1973 Clubman GT distributor?

You can get a side entry cap for a 43D dizzy, but if its a 29D you are out of luck.
I had a GT once but can't remember what dizzy it had.

I would have thought the GT would have the same as the Cooper S ie 23D4.

By the time of the MK II Cooper S the Australian 29D4 with top entry plug leads was used, and continued with the Clubman GT.

You would be better finding or making a splash shield to suit rather than changing the dizzy.
