Thanks John for posting the Family Tree.
I worked closely with Ray Habgood at Clyde Engineering (now Downer) from ~2008 through 2012.
I had heard that he had previously worked at BMC.
We had many trips to China together where he was helping develop the tooling for the Waratah trains that were manufactured there.
I worked in Engineering Design and he developed the tooling to bring it to fruition.
He was brilliant to work with and a true gentleman.

Do you know if he worked at Pressed Metal around 1988-89 as I was at JRA in their bus and coach Engineering Design around that time and I seem to remember his name being mentioned.

Regards
Phil

I picked up that family tree some time ago from the internet, saved it for reference as to the workings of BMC/Leyland management.
I don't have any more info that that.

I worked with Ray Habgood at Zetland in the Experimental section, He was a quiet man and a good engineer. I am not sure where he ended up .I have a list of where most of the staff went. eg Reg Fulford went to AWA he was working along side Rod Place ,Rod designed the letter box handles and I made sure the bell crank lever was beefed up as the original design may have been a bit weak. Then I set up the unit in the Rig Section Experimental for numerous testing.
