hmm :?

please say as to why you want carpet?? :?
where would your toolbox? jack? Oil bottles, water bottles, other essential fluid bottles, and the other random bits of stuff you maybe should carry about?? :?

or will all those dirty things just go on the brand new carpet/???

Camel,
All my stuff like that is in a plastic box. Just fits in, next to the plastic toolbox..
No room in boot for anything else!

Good stuff! Black is the way to go... I've done mine in black, it looks good I reckon. My interior carpet is black though, so I guess it goes with the theme.

I paid about that, it was around 40 a metre, but it was 2metres in width. I did fine with 70cm in length, with extra left over.

something that no-one addressed...what sort of carpet?

marine carpet would go alright, you want something cheap and tough. marine carpet is tough! but it feels horrible!

Doesn't matter how it feels... it's not like you're going to be lieing on it.

or you could just cover it in industrial plastic-y stuff or vinyl if you don't want carpet

these are easier to keep clean rather than carpet

just an alternative...

yer but it wouldnt look as good i dont recon...

ok, so here is my tips to anyone carpeting their boot..

download the template.
measure your boot and compare sizes with the template.
look around in your shed for suitable mdf or if you dont have any go down get some! (get a bit extra incase you stuff up one of the pieces)
Cut the boads to the sizes you have measured so it will fit in your boot how you want it. dont forget that your speakers could possibly be in the way of one of the pieces (which it was in my case)
Fit it all in your boot so it fits tightly
Buy the carpet (I reccomend the automotive trim carpet) 2 meters should do you fine.
Cut around the pieces and use a stapel gun to attatch it to the mdf (this would be preferably a 2 person job because you want it on tight)
then fit in all the pieces, you could possibly use some velcro to hold the back on firmly if its not such a tight fit to hold it all in place.

How does it all stay in place?
