Need to vent...
Decided today to fit an S rear bracket to Barney to replace the dodgy bros exhaust hanger he had.
I needed a new (bigger) exhaust clamp.
Enquired at 2 local servos.. nope, they don't keep them any more..
Should call them petrol stations not service ones..

Anyhow, so off to SuperCrap I go...
Bought one the right size for the 2" dump pipe.. got home and the bloody threads are too short to attach anything (like exhaust bracket) to!
Some flea in PRC or wherever has saved 0.01 yuan by making the threads shorter!
So tomorrow I'll have to make my own friggin' U bolt or lengthen this one!
/end vent...

Yes he's not going mad, it was a bastard of a thing. I tried to offer my assistance as best I could but the U bolt won :(

No way these crappy ones are long enough to grab either the centre or rear exhaust mounts. They would be flat out clamping just a round pipe!

Gafmo, you must have nice Ozzie made ones. Cherish and keep them safe, they look like being collectors items...

Update-
I stopped in at Charlestone Exhausts yesterday and bought a proper Oz-made ex clamp, so it's now on and looking good.
