Finally found the very bloody annoying oil leak on my wife's clubman, turns out it was leaking from the breather on the back of the engine, where the 2 parts are pressed together, i degressed the engine then started it on the floor & let it run, sure enough there it was, will change it tommorrow and put it back in, i also fitted my as neww 12G295 head, runs really sweet now, will have heaps more poke, even discovered it's got 20 thou oversize pistons.

cool, it's always good to find those buggers, pity the engine had to be out to find it - my S (the one you had) has a hairline crack in the bottom of the gearbox about 5mm long. I get this drip that hangs from the middle of the box and doesn't appear to come from anywhere, one day I wiped it and watched it while it was hot and there it was... it's 40 thou up too, spotted the stampings when looking down the spark plug holes

It was'nt a problem pulling it out, i broke my personnal best engine removing time by 4 minutes :D 24 minutes from start to having the engine on the floor. I did a bit of tidying up in the engine bay aswell, so it will be up & running again tommorrow arvo.

Doogie,
He means `Loctite' brand (was Permatex) gasket cement ,not LOCTITE as we know it.

Chong... one day Grasshopper, I will show you the difference... until then please refrain from calling any gasket cement Loctite! 8)
