Greig Malaure's Nb race car shows how long a manifold (this one's a Russell) you can get in there with NO filter.
Yes the S speedo is in there, no- of course it doesn't bloody work!! :lol:

Because your late Clubby used to have an air pump, and a smog head, and gulp valve, etc etc.
Air pump was mounted on front of thermo housing.. :wink:
