ok guys great to hear the interest in another dyno day....

Looks like late or early september is what people would like, as dean said we will be going upto QLD for this years jamboree which is on the 18th-19th of sept, so will probably be best to run it the weekend before this???

What are peoples thoughts?

Hey Guys

I don't wanna hijack anything if you've already started organising something, but I have been starting working on organising one coming up - just different location. I didn't really wanna post anything until I had some more details worked out, but I'd better or it looks like I could miss out!!

Anton (and others), Gannons Park is on Sun Sep 18th.

I was originally looking at a sunday (not sure which one yet) in October. A well known Mini Specialist has recently installed a chassis Dyno, and in principle He is Keen to have us there for a dyno day. I will try and get it as cheap as possible.

People, just let me know if you'd like me to go ahead and organise it, as if you guys already have something worked out I may not bother. It would be a MCC event, so you don't have to worry about it clashing with something else - I'll have to worry about it!! (one of the reasons I was organising it so far in advance!).

You guys probably know my reputation for F***ed weather going along with events I organise - but at least this will be mainly indoors!!!

I have been sketchy on the details (ie where I'm thinking of) as I have only spoken to the owner in principle, and wanted to make sure everything was 100% before advertising it. I will get over and see him in the next few days as I am off work for a few days :D :D :D

Let me know what you guys think. 8)

You mean Greig?? :P
Perhaps
Like I said, I've only spoken to him briefly about it, and don't wanna hijack something you guys have already done work on. If nothing's been started yet, and you guys aren't married to the location, I'll do it. I will also try and get it cheaper.

Hey, on that note, can anyone who was at the last one tell me a little about the format? I wasn't able to make it. Is is just a run for HP and straight back off, or did you get to fiddle a bit with settings etc. How long approx for each car etc - just so I know what I'm actually asking for.

Thanks

The one at MRC is a much newer (and accurate) facility i believe...

I had 3 runs there, most people had two...I was able to do minor tweaks, I changed the jets on my dellorto on the dyno and ran it again to see whether it made a difference, Most changes if any were carried out off the dyno and then the car was put back on to see the difference..

Each car took about 5-10min?..

I'd come along to both...I think if at Grieg's if we could manage to get him to have a look at the car's and tune them? as MRC only provided the facility where as if Grieg could provide his vast knowledge as to how he make's that damn Nb car go so fast if would be much more beneficial

It would also be great to see how accurate both dyno's are?

see how close they are to each other etc
