Losing knowledgable people isn't good. I live life too care free, I couldn't imagine leaving a good site for the amount of Spam that's on here. This site keeps me motivated, last night I was about to take to the car with a hammer, today I feel much better.

This site also keeps me motivated. I love to read the funnies :D make me feel a little more accepted when people like to spam in my posts.....but not over spam, as long as my question gets answered then i dont have a problem.

J_A_M Keeps me motivated as i have watched his site before i even bought a mini, his site brought me here, and i look at his resto and think, hey i can get remotely close, hopefully just faster ....

And i also ramble

Peace out....
Adam

I am interested in your opinion though, is spam any different than someone once again posting "whats better a 998 or a 1275", someone opening the debate of "what colour is best" or all of those "how much should I pay", some twit asking "how do I post photos" or my personal favourite the bl00dy video of that mini going round in circles...

I usually just read topics I think will be interesting to read and then just click the button so i can track them (or reply) and avoid everything else knowing that if I ever need that information its a search button away...

Oh and I apologise for all the SPAM I may have created too by the way......

Which reminds me, how do you post photos? Because I need advice on how much I should pay for a mini, I'm not sure whether the 998 will go as fast as a 850 :?

I think people need to care less.

I mean, as long as it's not an over-load of spam or spam that is agressive or mean, then it just adds to the humility of ausmini. There are heaps of different characters that use this forum, and without spam it kinda wouldn't show.

Who cares about post counts? I take advice from Dr Mini because I know his advice is usually the best (MOST of the time  ), not because his post count is ever edging towards the 8000 mark.

I think of ausmini the same way I chat to mates. When in a conversation, do you only talk business (ie. 100% about Minis)? No, usually not. You often add in the odd joke or anecdote, as it is a natural way to connect with other people.

You still have 40 odd posts to go, don't write big ones, there was a good 10 post's in that one alone.

Having said that, a few of the South-East Qqueensland crew have already dropped off ausmini for the spam battle. One made some noise, another quietly disappeared. So I call bullshit on the people who say spam is healthy.
.

hmm?
Jeff you mean :?
Did he get my (his) wheels in the end??

Mate, I know we always but heads on this issue, but that's the pot calling the kettle black. If you don't like the whinge threads, THEN DON"T READ THEM!!!
Besides, you just had a whinge in the whinge thread.

I think the whinge threads are actually healthy. Shows people do actually care about the state of the forum.

Having said that, a few of the South-East Qqueensland crew have already dropped off ausmini for the spam battle. One made some noise, another quietly disappeared. So I call bullshit on the people who say spam is healthy.

Lastly, I think the slap on the wrist that the chief spammer got for his latest effort will do nothing to deter him. He has even been joking about it.

Alot see it as comradery between each other....

As was said by Fat Maserti:

As long as the questions are getting answered, which as far as i can tell they still are, then I too see no problem with it..

Posting a frog under seemingly on topic headings is not-on and i don't think any of us condone that sort of behaviour...

Full on unrelated SPAM should be kept to makka's pool room, topics that spearhead onto something else once a question has been resolved or is in the middle of being resolved should be left alone..

Funny? no.
