Arrrgh, well arn't I the intelligent one, I decided I wounldn't check that the bonnet lines up before fitting the front apron, adn yep... you guessed it, it won't close. The front is now narrower. Any options, my welds were pretty crap on the front apron, so what should I do?

It wouldn't be so bad except that I've just got a personal loan to pay out my credit car and a loan from a friend, and then have money to fix up the mini. And I've just spent $600 on the panels and I go an $#!% it up!

I'll have to sit down and have a good look once I've calmed down a little to see if I'm going to be able to salvage the front apron and just spread the inner wings a little at the front, which is all it needs by the looks of it. Pics will be up tommorow.

Well...depending on how far out the fit of the bonnet is ...you could just cut your eyebrow piece and make it replaceable...use about 20 mm square tube.....this may make it easier to spread the offending wing.....

otherwise..get the grinder out and start again..... :?

Was this a clubby or a roundy?????

I can understand making a mess of the clubby alignment, but a roundy would be hard to get 10mm out of square....

the thing to find out is WHICH side is wrong. One side might be spot on, the other might be out. Maybe both are 5mm out..... You have alot of measuring to do now.

Get a tape measure, engineers square, laser pointer, whatever you can find, check it first before undoing the whole lot.

FIne-tuning is always inevitable with panel replacement, that's why next time you will tack it all first, wont you

That's some tough luck.
