I'm just wondering if there is any trick with getting the jet bearing in the centre? I position it in the centre but it then moves to the side when I tighten the nut.. Do I just have to keep trying, or is there some trick to it? I've done one carby already and I think I got it pretty centre, but this second one is really hard..

JAM??? :D :D

I've completely stripped mine down and polished the whole thing lately and found that with mine I just had to be careful that I held it central when doing up the nut. Just be patient and hopefully it will work out for you. My problem is that I have had the dash pots chromed and now the plunger is sticking. Damn thing. :x

Put the jet in and then assemble the dash pot and piston/needle assembly onto the carby. Lift and drop the piston and then tighten up the jet. After this the piston/needle assembly should fall to the jet with no hesitation.
