The bonnet does have to be raised slightly but the bracing should not have to be removed
Usually enough movement in the standard adjustment slots and the back lip of the bonnet is still in the groove of the body and dosn't effect air to radiator. Only raises 10-15mm.

IMHO - cheaper, gives low down grunt that a turbo doesn't, easier plumbing (no special exhaust necessary), simpler carb setup, runs cool, no body mods (required with the 'normal' turbo install - there are other ways to do it)

I've still got the SC12 in my garage, but not gonna fit it anymore - not for sale tho ;)

anyone else??

Yeah, its for the low down torque.

I am personally not interested in hitting 4000 rpm.... then breaking into wheelspin. I want to come out of a u-turn with 1200rpm, floor it and power away... then change gears at 4500 - 5000.

Nothing more sickening than the sound of an A-series screaming its tits off.

Regarding the bonnet mods - my engine must've been tilted forwards or something - there is no way it couldve fit without cutting the bonnet braces..... looks like I'll need to double check it.... :?
