I'm about to transistorize my fuel pump as per http://ntahc.org/techtips/TXFuelPump/TXFuelPump.htm but I should clean and set the points as I do. Can someone tell me what the correct gap is for the fuel pump points? Although mine is not a Lucas pump it is original 1963 made in NZ so I guess it is the local Ozzie equivalent at the time.

Found it - two measuring points one 35 thou and the other 70 thou

wombat faber midel actully make a solidstate pump with the ticking noise for the purists lol
