This topic is not a sticky - there were suggestions by some at the time I originally posted it, for it to be added to the stickys or the FAQ's, so that it would be easier for the N00bs to find this information. But this never occured. :(

The closest a N00b has to an answer on this question is the canned info in the FAQ which states...
Quote:

Can I post Images?
Images can indeed be shown in your posts. However, there is no facility at present for uploading images directly to this board. Therefore you must link to an image stored on a publicly accessible web server, e.g. http://www.some-unknown-place.net/my-picture.gif. You cannot link to pictures stored on your own PC (unless it is a publicly accessible server) nor to images stored behind authentication mechanisms such as Hotmail or Yahoo mailboxes, password-protected sites, etc. To display the image use either the BBCode [img] tag or appropriate HTML (if allowed).

The How-To topic I have provided is buried somewhere deep in the Members Gallery forum on page 6 at the moment and sinking deeper as people add more topics

So is walking but why did it take you 3 months to learn how to do somthing that simple?

The point being - just because you have figured it out doesn't mean everyone else has had that experience yet.

They ask because they don't know - nothing wrong with that - asking a question is a sign of intelligence - ignorance means they just have not found out yet.
