 Post subject: clutch and brake fluid

my 72 clubby has two pot like things along the back of the engine bay on the left hand side as you look in on it,there for clutch and brake fluid(i think :oops: )there not clearly marked does anyone know which is which,also im not sure what kind of brake and clutch fluid the last owner put in,can you mix brands of fluids.also does anybody use wheel stands when fixing there mini's :lol:

joel the one closest to the gaurd is the brake and the one closets to the carby is clutch

It's quite logical. If you ever forget think about your pedals, the clutch is far left, the brake is in the middle (or when it comes to fuild it's on the right). from the engine bay, the tin that is on the far right of the car (closer to the drivers door) must be the pedal that is closer to the far right (near the drivers door) which is the brake. And the other tin must be the clutch

you can mix fluid, only if it is either DOT3 or DOT4 type. It tells you on the bottle. Don't add DOT5......just buy any brand DOT3 or DOT4 and fill to the top level.
