There are 2 different spacers, 5mm, and 10?mm. For different mech pumps.
Anton just went thru this.. PM him.

also, make sure its mounted the right way around. the mechanical one has a little arrow on the side that indicates which direction the fuel should be going. mate of mine did that one the other day.

Sounds weird? Mine has no spacers at all just put two of the gaskets that came with the rebuild kit behind it to stop any potential oil leaks. The arm needs to be inserted right in and up into the gap. Only other suggestion is the diapraghms inside it could be back to front! Apparently common prob!

Hard to describe! Arm should freely move in and out and create a vaccum andpush motion n the diapghrams. Mine when sitting in engine has the intake nozzle which is higher toward the firewall and the outlet to carby lower and closer to the engine. If i am doing it it is easy but hard to describe. Soz! :(

anyway got one working now filter is now half full when running

noticed a power increase too since it works better?? maybe hif44 turbo carbs like fuel pressure

the original ones are sat slightly further in so the cast one must have different spacers, anyway next mo will be a electric one for sure :)
