Yes definately get stands. Super Cheap ones are fine (I think that's what I've got). The paver idea might seem good, but pavers/bricks can crack and it could lead to a bad ending. Better to be safe than potentially damage your Mini, hey? :wink:

You can tell they're single leading shoes because the flexible brake line goes into the backing plate and into the "single" wheel cylinder. On twin leading shoe there would be another metal tube that comes back out and goes across around the outer CV and into the second wheel cylinder.

Single Leading shoe drums! I took Steve and Mickey's "Dorothy" for a drive today, great stuff, sinlge leading shoe and one of the best brake pedals i have ever felt on a mini! Unbelieveable the build on that car. Makes my disc brakes pail in comparison!

one of the guy's in the club called dave durrant helped them with dorothy, but all theer cars since they do themselves with the help of dave.

no they do all brake adjustments them selves now dave has showen them and they do it all now
