Australian movies "Ricky and Pete" and "Sneaky Pete" feature Mokes.

One of the James Bond movies also featured Mokes - I think it was Moonraker.

Late one night last year I was flicking around the channels and I landed on SBS. There was some movie on in Italian. A guy was hit by a car and lying on the road. Traffic was banked up for miles and the ambulance couldn't get through. So a lady with a red Innocenti Mini Traveller offers to take him to the hospital. She drives like crazy through the city up footpaths and careening through roundabouts with high beams blazing and horn blaring, chucking the car all oevr the road. She drives straight past two hospitals and the guy in the back is complaining about her driving and asks why she has missed the hospital. Finally she reaches an office block and stops - she was late for a meeting and used the accident victim as an excuse to drive like a nutcase! She runs into the office building and leaves him in the car. He staggers out and passes out on the footpath. The End. Unfortunately I never did get the name of the movie! :(

I ordered it from the site, got here very quickly, something like 5 or 6 days which isnt bad at all from the UK.

If you dont want to order overseas, maybe ask pitstop.net.au if they plan on stocking it, they have a few other mini dvds.

Some of us don't have credit cards.... (on purpose - i refuse to be sucked into them)

I wonder if there is anywhere in Adelaide that has em on the shelf, and accepts 'cold hard CASH'??

mcrooms asked where i bought it from i was merely replying.

cc works fine if you manage your funds correctly. i pay around $3 a month total interest and charges, which seems like a good tradeoff for a payment method so universaly accepted.

i know pitstop accepts cheques as well, maybe money orders too. not sure they have this dvd tho.

good luck with the hunt

Did anyone ever see that short film it was on abc once. It had a woman park her black mini in shopping car park. Then when she returns from her shopping she sees some dude breaking into the black mini. So she searches thru her shopping to find something to take him on. Cant remember much but she throws a tin of fruit at his head and ends the would be robber ends up with something stabbed thru his eye. So after she absolutely destroy's this guy she gets her keys to unlock the mini. Does not turn and then has a look on the other side of the carpark an exact black mini. Opps!!

Hope that was an alright explaniation, if not let me try again

The 80's teen flick - Some Kind of Wonderful (1987) - Mary Stuart Masterson is a rock drummer/tomboy would prefers to work on her bright green mini that go out with boys until......

As for TV - well it must sound like I live in the past but we have foxtel and all the programmes are from the 80's. Just about ever episode of Minder has a mini somewhere one night I think we counted 16.

And if it has'nt been metioned yet - Alfie with Michael Cane - set in the UK in the sixties where every second car is a mini

Forgot about The Bill!

In one episode many years ago some baddies knocked June Ackland out, threw her into a black Mini Park Lane and put it in a car crusher. Of course Tony Stamp turned up to save the day, but the Mini was DOA. :(

(For those who think I'm sad to remember that, I no longer watch The Bill. It's crap now!)
