pffft, i seriously doubt it, why would they put restrictions on them when people are putting 13b turbo motors in geminis and escorts.. it isnt mush of a change when you think about it..

and to answer your question about letting you "copy my subframe" i dont think the previous owner of my subframe would apreciate me doing that... i was talking about my subby design, and he recons it wont pass :? his is all bent sheet metal, mines mostly box/tube steel.. meh, see what happens when i take it to an engineer

Talk to an engineer before you go to far!

If you get them involved in the early stages they usually appreciate it and are likely to be more receptive to your ideas.

One tip - start with a pre-76 car so you do not have pollution control hassles. Then you can legally run aftermaket computers without hassle.

A complete 4AGE Corolla twin cam drivetrain is available at my local wreckers, but the gearbox to large to be an easy conversion. :(

Minis Plus in Melbourne is/was fitting a normally aspirated Nissan Micra twin cam to a Mini. This set me thinking. There was a 930cc 4cyl Turbo AND Supercharged Micra in Japan. So if the normal Micra donk will fit, maybe the 930cc T&S will fit too!

Just remember, I thought of it first! 8)

Conducted some very brief investigations this afternoon and could not dig anything up. Have launched my brother on the case, he got lots of spare time (not). If there are any changes he will be able to find out.

I believe the yellow roundie at the Mini Muster was Cons, the same person who used to have the Clubman GTI turbo.

If you are after a G13B engine go talk to you local wreckers, they arent hard to come by.

I own a Swift myself, and the G13B engine goes hard, would love to put it in my mini.

Wander over to www.redlinegti.com and keep your eyes on the trading post in the forums, written off GTi's and also engines appear there pretty often.

hey guys....i was just wondering if anyone had thought of transplanting one of the little 3 cylinders going around into a mini? i know that it'd be a bit down on power compared to the donks you're talking about....but surely something like the 800 out of a matiz or something would make for a pretty easy conversion and it'd have 40-50kw stock.....

im asking this cos my aunt has just had her matiz written off.....would it be worth a try or not?

It is still going to set you back some decent ammount of $$ getting a subframe fabricated / modified to suit it.
