I thought it was blue or purple undernearth. The chrome resides in the engine bay.

you reckon a chromed hi-lo is safer than a 30 year old front trumpet? I have seen standard trumpets snap.....gafmo can vouch for that!

I'm sure Jan will chime in with the TRUTH, but I think the suspension on Mutant is not chromed. She has mentioned a process called "nico-shine".

J_A_M: No, we don't have yearly inspections down here, although some persuasions are pushing it, namely auto-repairers' associations, in the name of safety (spelt m-o-n-e-y). Fortunately, or unfortunately, statistics don't support their claims, re: unroadworthy cars involved in accidents.

if i thought it was a good idea.. getting lots of bling.. i would have been getting my subframes cromed. but the wise words of my dad and his experence tuned me to the safty light... not a risk i am taking.. nothing wrong with normal hilos and polishing them up.. I Just would not put faith into a crome suspention part or old suspention parts. thats why I am putting in every single thing i can new into evil

as much as i support the idea of not having yearly checks on older vehicles, it's still up to the owner to keep the car roadworthy. which is why i find it disgusting that people know their car is a death trap and have a giggle about it. would they still laugh if they killed someone?
