Just wondering what you guys envisage as your ultimate mini - what year, what shape, colour, wheels all that. It can be an existing car or your ultimate level of dream modification - Im just intrigued as to what you would have if money wasnt an option.

To get the ball rolling...

Mine would be one of the original works Cooper S 970cc cars - so rare and it sounds like a very interesting engine - plus who'd say no to a works car...

Secondly it would be an English spec Mk1 Cooper S 1275 in Almond Green with a white roof and 4.5" ventilated rims, no flares and sliding windows...

Your turn!

My ultimate carpark would look like this:

1) Mini Woody Traveller, Burgundy, hot 1275, air con, cream leather interior, windup window doors with electric windows, remote central locking, cooper S disks and chromed cooper S wheels. Looks a stock Classic on the outside, but has all the good bits under the bonnet and inside. At least I have started on this one.

2) Aqua 13" wheel Moke with mild 1275 Auto and disks - started on this one as well.

3) Roundnose Mini with a Suzuki GTi or similar conversion. Preferably my current van!

4) 1992 Mini British Open Classic (1275 Carby)

4) Inocennti Cooper 1300 Export - Left Hand Drive and stock.

5) Classic original 850 - prefer Austin Mk1 ex UK.

If we are going non-Mini I would want:

- Keep the current Jackaroo.
- 1974-78 Toyota Corona GT Hardtop (Twin Cam 18RG)
- 1966 Mustang GT Convertible.
- VW Beetle Karmann Convertible - year does not matter!

Of course, I just have to win Lotto first.

what is it against Clubbies? Could be worse, they could be Binis..

mine would be dark purple (late model commodore ute colour), white roof with purple tint, matching bonnet stripes, tinted windows, 13" wheels, sportspack arches, late model colour-matched side mirrors, internal release cooper grill, 1380 warm engine, tall diff, air conditioned, tasteful interior well sound-proofed, CD with built in DVD player..

Ultimate mini? LOL

My old Kermit Van
1976 Clubbie with stock 998 engine
Rear cargo bay converted to house a Rolls Royce Derwent Turbo-Jet engine
Hydrolic actuators on the read cargo doors
Hydrolically operated winglets that emerge from the side panels when the rear doors open
Same idea for the tail fin that raises out of the roof
The stock motor acts as a starter motor for the Derwent
And a BIG RED BUTTON on the dash!

Well much as I hate to say it my dream Mini is the one I've got. Sure, I'd like a faster motor (anything with straight cut drop gears would put a grin on my face, I like NOISE!), shinier paint (try the metallic blue from the BA XR6 turbos), and no rust.

Otherwise, I've always fancied a round nose Mini, painted that metallic green that all those new SS commodores are, with sportspak arches and 13" DTM/BBS rims. Oh, and a quick A series donk up front.

Britax Cooper gets my vote also.

Other wise BRG with GT strips and a wully worked V8 Killer or atleast one that puts the strip fighters to shame. Maybe a 16V VTEC supercharged 8.00 sec 1/4 miler 8)

Other than a Mini

68 Camaro..Very Cool or a 34 Ford Chop Top HHmmm Nice

Mine would have to be a Mini Ute.

GT Starlet transplant to make it go like crap. Or maybe even the MR2 rear engined job. That new funky holden green, no doubt it will seem dated in a week (much like that Tiger Gold on the VT). Naturally with two fat arse white striped going over the top of it. Take my fixed buckets, harnesses, 4 pot disks from Whitestriped '63 and then make that one into a roadster.

Come to think of it, anybody know of any utes for sale? :?

Not deliberately trying to hijack the post but are there many of them about? Don't recall seeing any (real ones) in Brisbane for quite a while. Saw one on EBAY in Melbourne a while ago. Would have snapped it up for the $3k they were asking if it were in Bris.
