Okay okay...... I BOUGHT ONE THE NEXT MORNING!!!!! Just couldn't wait!

I bought a TG-10 Nitro-powered (petrol) Rover Mini, and a "Trigger Grip" FM controller on Thursday, total cost $550.

Planning to make it a scale model of the SC850 (white with custom red interior). Am also gonna get a couple more shells for it - one I will make into a model of my green roadster, the other will be a flip-paint shell..... cos i just want one.....

Obviously, with an interior installed in the car, i am gonna have to fit air ducting to the motor to keep it cool....

Am also going to put a second power source onto the chassis so that i can run LED's in the lights too (for night effects)

Unfortunately, due to the short wheel base, this chassis does not suit any other body shapes (thats what the guy in the shop told me - can anyone clarify this??)

Only had it a day now, so its rough around the edges, but that'll be fixed soon.... predict it to be running BEFORE my real minis are

Here's some pics... sorry about the glare

Are the shells hard to paint?
How much difference is there between the nirto powered and the electric speed wise?

Spray the shell on the inside. You get a fantastic finish with a plastic protective coaingt over the paintwork - great for preventing those paint scrapes when you run it into a wall.
Cheers Dat

Now must get my elecie Subaru WRX 4x4 out outthe cupboard. LOL

....well, even though i live down south, i would probably take it to TTP when they have motorkhanas on. A bit of fun during the breaks

The nitro ones are usually quicker than the eleccy ones, but the eleccy ones can be upgraded too, so who knows.... I noticed there were HEAPS of extras in the shop for my particular toy aswell, everything from chrome grilles, to roll bars, to 2 speed gearboxes (like 0-60 in 2 seconds isn't fast enough???)

The only thing that worries me is if the wheels rub on the inside of the shell , against the paintwork, it will burn off.... and i can see it will bottom out too

Sorry mate, know how you feel, but believe me - the first time you stack it [and that should happen within about 10 seconds of starting to play with it on the street] you'll see the value of smacking into a curb at 60kph and not scratching the paintwork
Have fun
