Hey Guys and Gals,

I am rebuilding my rear drum brakes ... they are finished and im trying to put them back together, but the outside casing of the drums wont fit back on ... it seems to get stuck against the brake pads ... then when i manage to force it on, the wheels wont spin at all.

HELP ME ... i cant do anything further to the car until i work this out

Lucas

Did you let the adjustment bolt screw bit off ?

Sometimes the wheel cylinder is not centred either so it makes it hard to get the drum on

yep, keep turning that sucker till you fit the drum on, then adjust back up. The difference between old worn out shoes and new shoes is a LOT of turns.
