The guy who i know that bought a mini when he was younger back in 68 said he sent away to England for a fibreglass dashboard accessory. I'm wondering if this is the kind of thing he was talking about.

There used to be a lot similar to that back in the 70's and early 80's in the UK although they were usually black fibreglass and a crap fit!

Got any pics of it fitted?

And for the record... this one is black fibreglass too... the other pic i have is from the other side which indicates that the natural colour is black.

I'd really like to see some pics of one of these dashes fitted... I would like to buy one instead of making my own, it would be a lot easier.
Obviously I wouldn't ditch a standard dash for one of these but i currently have an ugly home made piec of crap that the previous owner made.

Thanks but the eBay auction ended last night. The seller said in the description that he wasn't prepared to post it and didn't reply to my emails before the auction ended. It was in SA. It sold for $57 :(

I'd still be interested in the pics though.

I have one of those things in my mums garage. Its different to that one (only has hole in middle for speedo and then hole at bottom for switches) but its pretty much the same. Its made of a hard plastic and sits flat across the 'dash' rather than curved. Looks good from afar, but its far from good. I didnit like it so its been removed.

You can have it for $10 if you want.
