Assuming the damage is only panel damage, no mechanical damage. Then if you have a welder freind, as set of new front panels is about $500, because I've just done mine. And by the looks of going prices for complete going mini's, you should get anywhere from $1500-$2000 on!
So, I'd say replace the front end first, then sell. Oh, you would have to put paint on top of that, but I wouldn't think it would be that expensive if you have people in the know.

Interesting you say that.. my gf's brother is an apprentice boiler maker so does lots of welding.. and we have a semi decent complete front end sitting at home. And also having said that gf's dad knows a painter (he just painted his motorbike for him).

Only thing is we're not really in the position to spend cash on the suckers. It would also need a fair bit of work done to the engine.. just to get it running again, cleaned up and in some state of tune.. might have to ask some of my dads mini mates :-P

Hey Glenneaux,

I'm definately keen to buy if you're keen to sell.

I've just had my mini stolen and stripped and am about to start a full restoration. I've just sent you a PM so have a look and get back to me if you're interested!!

Cheers,
BC

If it is a 79 clubby (wouldn't it be 78?) I'd say a bit only if it is all original and in good nick.
I know a guy on here recently had his car that looked the same stolen and stripped.
Maybe he'd be interested?

Thanks for thinking of me Harley!! :)
