The auto one? Plenty of manual g/box's floating around for them if you don't like the auto bit. I would do an auto on my next conversion, i
m sick of driving manuals.

BlackRZ_667,

Looks like an earthing bond to me, minimises stray currents and RF interference by giving them a common bond etc.

BTW - Good Luck.

Andrew

Well I have decided to cut my losses and have decided on keeping it auto i feel it will cost to much to convert it to manual with the gear box, clutch, Fly wheel, new ECU  when i get the money i will do the manual conversion at a later date  but for now she will stay auto.

You do know that it is more beneficial to have an auto for a turbo-charged car right? It makes the issue of lag less apparent. You can get it fully 'manualised' too, but if you are working to a budget the standard auto should be up to the task.

Whats involved in manualising a auto box? Are we talking Air shifters?

Dean,

Usually its a simple case of re-valving the valve-body in the slush box so it doesnt change down or up automatically. My BMW 635 had a knob next to the gearbox (auto) which allows you to select standard auto, sports mode auto, or full manual at the turn of a knob - quite good really but thats German engineering for you.
