Okay, so i'm having fun with my Mini, as we all do, but lately my tastes have changed a little and now i'm stuck.

I dont wanna hack up the LS putting in two comfy, supportive (probably two Velo race) seats. And putting in some Harnesses. I dont like Lap/Sash seatbelts. And cutting in a Weber box.And and and... You know the story.

Do I sell the LS, and buy a Morris/Rover shell, give it an 'okay' paint job, but just go to town on it, making it an awesomely fast streeter? Or do i just take to the LS with a grinder?

I dunno. I think the LS should be left in the hands of someone who will appreciate the car for what it is. A 106,000 km old, Granny car with a hottie motor in it. Its really in neat condition.
And let me hack up something else. Something not so perfect.[/i]

You know what i voted for...
sell it as if you never had it.
Get a ROVER.
Give it a paint job.
Get it complied.
Put a stinkin hot wheel spinning rev rising tyre smoking traction breaking hills racing handbrake turning jap beating ... motor in it.
and drive it like ya stole it.
whilst looking VERY cool.
and hopefully winning some awards (knowing your standards of work).
So do it.
no regrets.
its only money.
and we all know that mone is only time.
and some of us have a lot of time.
:D

/dribble.

Hmmm.... lets weigh it up.....

LS mini = special edition. Steve likes special editions. Sell it to him. He'll chop it in half so he can store it better. Sorted.

How about a convertable? You'll have the angle grinder out already, so......

Hmmm..... clubby front...... turbo jap conversion????

If it's still original and in good condition, I would sell it. But if it's like my 998 LS and a bit rough around the edges, then modify it.

I am doing up my LS to suit me but then again nothing major, bigger wheels, extractors, and change the inside a little bit. One thing I am getting rid of is the vinyl roof, just going to paint the roof a darker colour to the body.

you've already got the fast streetcar, it doesnt require much to bolt race seats/harnesses in
and all the time and money you will have lost by starting again
and then you wont have something you can show off
keep the LS
oil will peak in 5 years anyway!

Get another old shell & go full on with a jap engined street racer project now,
and your original LS will be worth even more by the time you get the replacement on the road :D

Hmmmm... I've been offered a Morris shell, fully painted, just had $3000 spent on the paint, and that's what it'll cost to make it mine.

I think i'll end up doing something like that.

Or i've just been offered (anonymous) a Mk2 S to play with, as a swap for the LS.

Decisions, decisions... :?

take to the LS with a grinder and i'll take to you with a grinder.

as much as clubbys are much less attractive, it's an LS and well.. THERE'S BARELY ANY GOOD ONES AROUND!

go thru the hassle of swapping cars with something else, and hack that.

1275 LS' are worth keeping as standard (well not hacked up, anyways!). Mod it, but mod it so it can be returned to standard.

If you want something else, get it ready for sale. Don't hack into it!
