Pardon my ignorance, but how does the Pulsar electronic dizzy avoid the water problem?

1. there's an O-ring under the cap. Unlike a Lucas..
2. No points. :P
3. If you move the coil to the RH inner guard (Pulsar dizzy's wires will just reach) it won't get wet either. :wink:
Surprising how often this Mini wet weather problem is flashover of the spark on the top of coil, and not the dizzy anyway.

speedy the pulsar dizzy is screwed on and has a oring

scotty has the car gor one of them external resistors on the coil ???
if so sus out the spring underneath they get hot expand and short out
i have had this happen on three cars first time no real mechanic avalible was called he could not diagnos the problem i found it the following night in the dark at home
next time it happend sorta though gee this is familure
third time i knew what it was

Look on bottom of it it should say `12V'.
If it sez `use with resistor' you better go buy one. Resistor coils running without resistor can overheat, burn your points, and generally spoil your whole day. Unless they are on a Pulsar electronic dizzy.. as Nissan fitted them. :wink:
