are you guys naming yours? what sort of paint schemes are you doing?

mine is called "the eternal cowboy" (its a cd by a band i like) and it is going to be white with a royal blue lightning bolt down the side. Oh and the number is going to be 0

I'll build one... just need a rocker cover!

Too bad it's A Series only, I have plenty of Austin A40 rocker covers and a B Series one sitting here!

While reading this post, I also thought of building a remote controlled one. Not for racing, but for fun!

High as you want.
Its the width that is annoying.
200mm? The cover takes up most of it.
Could go for that classic car look I suppose, having them on the inside. :D

Update!

I've put the alloy rocker cover I have sitting around on my moke, so i'll use the standard one that was on the moke. Mind you, the moke engine looks the goods now, hehehe!

I always thought that this was a lame idea
- until I saw one down at the Mini Central garage.

Now I wish I had taken the rocker cover off one of the engines I gave away :x

so what are the dimensions of the track? i suppose width doesnt mater, it has to be wide enough for 2 to race together!

what about length of actual ramp, lenth of flat ground after it? is it flat? it is curved like a skate ramp? what angle from horizontal if its flat? if its curved, what angle from horizontal do the racers start? how high from the ground do they start?

and how do you actually win? by rolling the furthest or by crossing a finish line first? i reckon i can do pretty well in both of those categories ;)

here's a pic of the most important one... and I you can't paint alloy - but I coulda spent more time polishing it. I only finished it on Saturday night, it had never run on a slope before the race, only getting pushed across the carpet :?

Well, for those who didn't see, here's my final effort.
Candy red and chrome.
Might not have won a race, but I thought it looked the part. :D
