That's it.

I'm about done.

Spent almost all night sorting the car out.
First test drive.
Went great.

Just near home, suddenly couldn't change gears.

Clutch won't dis-engage.

Hydraulics are A-OK. Clutch has full movement. Obviously something inside has collapsed. I can either have another all nighter on it tomorrow - assuming it's a clutch plate I'll get one tomorrow and see what happens.

Or, I can set fire to the car and join our premier in the suicide watch ward.

Pedal Feel is fine. Problem is NOT hydraulic. Watching the clutch arm and the little shaft (thrust bearing carrier?? I'm crap with part names) it is getting full movement. The problem is definitely internal.

So your pedal feels normal or does it feel lighter? I know it isn't hydraulic as i had the same issue's. can you get it in gear with the car turned off? or is it stuck in gear? need a few more details to give you a more informed opinion.

Cheers

Aaron

No nuts on mine, or 90% of race Minis either!
If clutch pedal feels fine maybe the primary gear is dragging. Is it OK cold?

Graham Did it all for me.
I'm sure (read I F%^king Hope) It's something simple.
Just after the near all-nighter I pulled on it last night plus starting work at 6am today I don't know if I can get it done tonight.

I REALLY want to though - so much for me has been working towards this weekend - even before the motor died!! :?

First thing I would do- pull the clutch lever arm out and check the bottom ball bit is not bent/broken...
Easy fix if so! :D
