That happened before my time, but FFS, please do not have a repeat of that! Thats just babyish crap.
I happen to have another view........I love the freedom we have here in Australia to say and do just about anything that pops into our minds. Others overseas ain't so lucky.
What I have a real problem with is when people use foul language (just because they know they can) on a great forum for Mini Owners of ALL ages and no doubt with differing ideas on what is decent and what is not. I'm no prude, no angel either.
However, with a Forum such as this (FUN with a capital F) I don't really see a need for overt use of the F and C words. Its all a matter of what is cool and what is not. It ain't cool to be foulmouthed - I have learned that over 55 years of living (yeah..I'm an old Fart!) and dealing with a wide range of people from all levels of society.
It is much cooler (IMHO) to use emoticons or acronyms (for example FFS) if you really must express yourself that way.
As Mini enthusiasts I think we have a responsibility to encourage as many Mini owners to join in the fun and get edumacated along the way. To turn people off because some individual demands his freedom of speech to the detriment of others, don't really cut it with me - there's rules you have to abide by every where in life. You may not like them all, but hey! thats life. The old chestnut about "would you speak that way in front of your parents in their house or to someone you are really trying to impress?" is a little well worn and dated now, but still has an element of truth about it.
RANT COMPLETE - back to the fun part....All the Best
