I was driving home lst night, took a right hand turn in a roundabout, car biackfired and stalled a bit...then as soon as i exit the rounabout and put my foot down to accelerate it spluttered and stalled.

I managed to start it up again with a bit of fiddling with the carb, and then some good luck.

All left hand tuns it was fine, but any right hand turns it would want to die.

I got to within 100m of my house and had to stop at a stop sign, went to go and it spluttered and backfired and stalled.

So my car is stuck 100m from my house on a hill, so i cant move it.

Would it appear my fuel pump is buggered (as in not enough fuel pressure under load) ??? I thought it was odd that it wanted to stall on right hand turns and not left. There is fuel in the float bowl, and it will occasionally start, but as soon as i put it in gear and try to accelerate it stalls.)

Please Help!! :)

Have you checked the fuel filter?
