Hey guys,

I know this isn't strictly "MINI CHAT" , but I need some info / help quick!!

Is anyone in Sydney a Landscaper, or have any experience with paving, or know someone that is and will work cash in hand??

I need some help with paving our driveway - I have bought the pavers, and can get other materials (roadbase, sand, concrete etc) cheap through work. I just need someone to help me lay the pavers - does anyone know someone who can help??

Thanks.

I did my parents driveway years ago, but i wouldn't recommend myself  it didn't exactly stay flat..... i would recommend once you have them laid to seal them. especially as you own a mini...

Cheers

Aaron

Hence why I'm looking for a professional or at least a semi-professional to help me.

I did the drive at my last house. My father in law gave the advice, and I carried out the work. Hired all the right gear too.

It was a ripper of a job - but geez my back ached for days afterwards!!!!

Tell me, out of interest, if you don't mind, approximately how much per sq metre would you charge to lay pavers?? Pretty standard straight driveway - herringbone pattern with border around 35 sq metres.

I have a "MATE" who was supposed to be helping me, but he's only just starting up is business and seems to want to charge me top dollar. He's not that good a mate if he wants me to prop up his business I think. I don't expect things for free, but geez, anyways you guys don't wanna hear about that crap, I just wanted to know if anyone had some suggestions on what to do or who to call.

Thanks

get figjam to quote, it may be cheaper to get him to come up and out him up than to have a sydney guy do it.

Cheers

Couldn't give you an accurate price Bob, as I've been out of the game for over 10 year's and I'd really have to look at the site. I know the guy's in Sydney charge like wounded bull's, but if you get a few guy's out to quote you should get a rough idea.If you have all the materials and hire the gear, he should quote you an hourly rate.
