Considering a fully blown purpose built skyline GTR can do 10 secs flat on drag tyres, I would think 14 secs for a road going mini with road tyres is doing ok!

guys i think you are aiming alittle to high if you think it will be easy to run 14's in a mini. Grant ran a 14.4@94mph i think ??? it was a while ago, and he is pushing the a series pretty hard, another example is the 1380 that was there a few weeks back that did 3 passes with a best of 16.8@80mph.

Im not saying it isnt possible to run 14's in a mini, as im hoping to get mine into the 14.0 area maybe a high 13 with slicks. But it will need around 170+hp to do it, and around 105mph. The hard part is getting the power to the ground, if i can get any where in the 14's with my street setup i will be one happy camper.

Maybe if you get a stripped out race shell under 500kgs, a DRMINI 1310 special and some nice 8 inch slicks you could have a 14sec REAL mini not like my bitsa :)

Deal, carbon fibre shell, get the Doc to build a hot 1380 special, 13x8 slicks and I reckon you can do 13s every pass! Will surely give those PAC cars a good go and look awesome too!

I guess it does not matter if its a Silvia, RX or a ford Focas you should see this one.....but I would love to see some Mini's out thier and I will assist anyone who wishes. I'm Sure we could orginize Mini v Mini rather than seeing someone in a Lambo stuffing up the lights and letting a MIni put them to shame LOL

I Think we could get 4 Mini's atleast.

Maybe the MCC Ausmini/We could Orginize a group and have as many of the groups together to help out and watch the fun

Nope I said I reckoned 16s, not 14s. My 1220 powered 850 did 16.1 way back in the 60s, it was a bit lighter though- no hydro...

<edit> I was a bit lighter then too.... :?
