But last time we rolled plate that thick we cracked the end housing
Stick to 1 1/4" now. Or press it (500Tonne brake press is on the left)

Hate big workshops like that awdmoke, reminds me of all those other big places I used to work in busting my back as a boilermaker/welder.

What's that you say ... speak up mate, I can't hear you all that well...

It took a bit of digging, but a 10'x3'x6' deep concrete pit with a mobile A-frame above it is a god-send when doing your own spannering.

That's what I want Curly, a pit 8)
My brother in law has one in his garage, and he uses it to store document boxes

Three quick questions:
1. Did it take long?
2. Did you get Council approval?
3. Was it worth it?

Mike

Answers:
1. Yes - weeks to dig out then box up, fit power supply, then pour concrete. Will depend on soil type and whether or not you can get an excavator in under your trusses. :(
2. What's that ?
3. Too right. Fantastic for working under minis. Coolest place around on a hot summer's day.

3/ Yes-it would be worth it-We ausmini WA could come and use it
for nothing(maybe a beer then)

Hey Feralsprint and Curly...

What are those ultra cool cars you've got going on there? feralsprint's looks kinda like a Bowlell Nagari... Kinda.

C'maon, give us the details!

We have a large shed, enough room for two mini projects, a 1970 Mach1 Mustang, 4 Vintage motorbikes, and all the tools/benches/pushbikes/garden crap you could ever want. Just gotta get eveything out and put it all back neatly, though. It is soooo messy right now.
