OOOOkay. Look under the car, from where the engine goes back to where the gear lever pokes up throgh the floor to your hand. Is there a big aluminium tunnel under there or just two steel rods?
If it is the FIRST: There is a mount at the back of this tunnel. Back to the engine bay, and there should be one stabiliser bar going from the motor, on the drivers' side going from the motor to the firewall. The bushes in these often rot away, and then the engine may wobble at the top, front-to-back.
If it is the SECOND: There are no mounts back here, but there are two stabiliser bars, one the same as the one already described, and one that looks the same, but it runs from the top of the thermostat housing to the back of the engine bay, on the passenger side, onto a rather agricultural looking steel angle-mount. This should have your heater hoses running through it, into the heater in the cabin. This is the replacement mount for the lack of the one at the back of that aluminium tunnel on earlier cars.
