I just had a look at that site and UK Post sure know how to charge. No wonder we get bugger all from the rels at xmas

I ordered something frm a mail order company in the UK once and the item arrived from Morrocco, I worked out that it was cheaper for them to take orders in the UK but actually post from north Africa than post from within UK to within UK. Mad but true

The high shipping costs are in part what keeps the prices so low over there. If the yanks and us and Europe dwellers could import stuff from there cheaply, they would have cleaned out the market in no time and the prices would have gone up.

As it is atm the price here is approximately equal to the UK price, + shipping + whatever the time and effort to order from the UK might be worth (and its worth less and less - thus savings are lower and lower, as the internet makes ordering and finding UK items from overseas easier.

I wonder if UK post have been very clever and worked out that internet ordering is a lucrative revenue raiser. In Australia a lot of costing by Ozzie Post is done by cubic volume. The clever people who buy and sell on ebay make sure all the parcels they send are more round than square so they cannot easily be measured.
