Hi guys,

Does anyone know if someone sells these new in Australia?

I can get just about any panel new for the mini, but I haven't been able to find this one. The is one on www.minisport.com in UK, but there is only a description, no pic and it is ?98!

You might try the following:

http://stores.ebay.com.au/Minisport1275 ... viewQQtZkm

The fellows name is Tony and he imports alot of parts from that place in the UK. So I am sure he will be able to help you..

I have a catologue that he sent me the other week and it has this item pictured.. Maybe even get him to send you a catalogue even..

Anyway hope this helps..

Yeah, I know Tony well. Have clocked up ~$6K worth of bits with him in the last 6 months.

He doesn't carry the panel I require. :(

Thanks anyway.

Pretty sure the full boot floor panel comes with back seat attached... that's why it's so dear!
Usually it's just the bottom of the wheel well that's RS-
I used a PC cabinet last time, next one I'll use Hoover washing m/c panels (`coz I've got some!)

What did you do to get the 'wheel' shape into the panel?

Luckily it was just the bottom that was rusted out. 99% of the rest was fine... although there were a few little holes I MIG welded.
Reason these things rust out there is, the rubber spare tyre sweats in damp or humid weather..... :x
We've sprayed all the boot floor in 2 pack hi-build, now I'll give it a few coats of sound deadener in there before spraying the colour on.

I did that with Ha-Ha 11 or so years ago and no sign of any rust, yet!!

My dad knows a guy who built the whole rear of an Austin 7 Chummy out of a washing machine. It was the perfect size!

Minitech in SA quoted me $850 for the boot floor panel itself, so im guessing Kevin there can get them. Rather pricey though just for the panel

I used to be in the sheet metal industry. Ridiculous price for what it is. :x

Mine was made up out of an old tool cabinet shelf. You just need someone handy with a welder.Bitumen piant also helps hide the joins.
