My rego/ctp is up for renewal and I was wondering who you all use for your CTP

I have been with AAMI.
$440 23y/o

i would never use AAMI, mainly due to their incessant and annoying tv commercials. i don't care if they're $2 cheaper, i'd much rather give that $2 to a company that doesn't annoy the f#$% out of me on a nightly basis.

ive got mine through NRMA, who run funny tv commercials up here with the Brisbane Broncos in them.

I think we should all boycott products from companies with annoying advertising campaigns.
Have a look at Shannons car insurance. I've found them to be great for older cars. My old mini was insured through them as is my brother in laws EH and my dads MG.

Shannons don't do green slips.
Make sure you have Comprehensive insurance and go with GIO as a youngen. NRMA and AAMI come in cheaper as you get older. don't know why but this is how it worked for me.

Cheers

Aaron

Most of the companies are within a few dollars of each other. Was just curious about who people prefer.

Ah
I'm victorian and don't know what a green slip is? I thought it was just a fancy way of saying Insurance.

So go on then what is a green slip? I figure it is what we pay big $500 registration for and give all that money to TAC.

CTP = Compulsary third Party insurance. But this is only CTP injury(as I remember) so I run over Joe blow and then he claims the cost of his Chiropractor, surgeon, shrink etc against my CTP insurance. There is also third Party property which pays for the other persons car or if I park my car in a shop front etc.

If Vics is like SA then your CTP is in your rego SA the entire states CTP green slips go to the one insurance company (I wonder if that sales person gets a commision  )

it's only CTP. it's 6 of 1 really, so people usually just go on price. i have full comprehensive through someone else. annoying advertising is as good a reason as any other. if there's something i've missed in thinking this through, pls feel free to enlighten me/us all.

Do a green slip search, type in all the details & it gives you the price of all green slips, beats spending hours on the phone.

Underwriters or not it is the advertising I object to. I'm a simple man. Get rid of that rediculous smile off the face of that annoying girl whose name I can only assume to be Aami and I'm all in. (I really wish you hadn't told me about the AAMI/Shannons affiliation but that is my justification for now)
