Small bores 850-1098 blow between 1-2 or 3-4, as it's thinner there.
1275s etc `usually' blow thru 2-3.

Those `copper' smallbore gaskets are not real good now. Nothing inside 'em...

Composition ones are better, and the ACL one for 998s (fits 850 & 1098 too) is best, IMO.

There's nothing stopping you from changing up through gears..you just have no power, wont rev under load or well in nuetral. It also sounds like a VW on heat ;) same putt putt air sound...

yea
i just blew mine a couple of weeks back...
darn things...well u would have no freakin power..and it sounds like a damn grinder machine...if ur carrying some passengers..good luck...oh ya..going upslope is a nightmare...
when i blew it..i didnt know it was blown...it just lost power suddenly and grew noisy..so i took my mates home after some drinks..and took it around a couple of laps around my estate..damn...i think i woke up most neighbours..cause i suddenly see cops cruising near my place at 3am in the morning(which is A RARE sight)...

but they didnt stop me though...haha
must have been thinking
"nah..its a mini...it cant be it...""
