I'm trying to take the whole Brake assembly off and i've split my ball joints and the brake hose is off (finally) but now i'm left with an assembly attached to the drive shaft...

Just done the front Drums to disk conversion so here is what I did - no expert so all disclamers apply...

Top ball joints disconnected - check
Bottom balll joints disconnected - check
Brake line disconnected - Check
Steering joint disconneced - ?
Drive Shaft Retaining Nut [big nut in centre of axle] - split pin out, then nut off [breaker bar is handy here]
Hub Assembly should now slide off towards you [tap on a woodern bolster with FBH from behind in 12,6,3,9 pattern to encourage it if needed]

I swapped in a 7.5" Rover unit from a Jananesse inport to fit straight under my 10" wheels. Picked them up from Brickworx [member here] Price depends on stock and it's condition so chat Steve on what he has available [or on it's way in]

Best option in my book, the whole assemblies have bugger all wear on them and can be regarded as virtually brand new becasue they are so young. beats recoing sets that are on their last legs or doing all the engineering for a different vehcle conversion.

Good luck - but you will really appreciate the disks when you get them 8)

Had that problem as well cush - and I checked the size of the locking nuts on the set going in and had the socket size ready to go. but I forgot to check that the ones on the car were the same size - typically they were not.
