Edit: althought the UK and US would have a FTA too wouldn't they?

Don't think so. The only big one the US currently has is the Canada/Mexico one. No Canadian i know has a good thing to say about that one.

Is this good or did I shoot myself

The price is probably alright, but why oh why did you get copper? :? Steel is always the best option for safety. CAMS mandates it for any car that goes on the track....You can just buy yourself a flaring tool (double flaring) and some bundy tubing from Blackwoods, use the old pipes as the template to bend the new, slide the nut from the old pipe on, flare the end and voila!

I would think that Minimania (US) sources all parts from the UK at some point?

So at some stage there would be extra costs added for shipping fees and taxes from the UK being added to anything bought from the US site.

In saying that, i remember being told in an email from minimania.com all international orders are handled by minispares.

Sorry cush, when Leyland moved out, Navy stores moved in, they left about six years ago and the place was levelled. They are building huge blocks of apartments on it now.

Of course. All you need to do is remanufacture all of the tooling. Use CNC machinery and operators who know what they are doing, and anything you make will be better than the original anyway. Kind of like what that British Motor Heritage mob in the UK do right?

BTW my grandfather was a patternmaker at the BMC plant a Zetland for a while, and a mates father was a production engineer there some time afterwards. Shame its all disappeared now...

If you buy stuff from MiniMania that is available at MiniSpares- YES! They are just a reseller.

Cheaper to buy from MiniSpares UK on everything, except USA-made goodies peculiar to MiniMania.
