Might have to do something like that to mine... The head is all nicely opened up, so this would help, yes?

 @ Makka

Well.. the Deluxe shall be rewarded with a 998 A+ and Rover subframe.
Yes, with my 45DCOE, choked right up.

So yep, that should be good.

"Should be good" as in... Letting Steve do the work? You'll just put stuff on upside-down, so it looks right some of the time.

You do realise, we're not gonna let this upside-down willy thing go, don't you?

Go with some Cobra low-backs, not just standard morris fare. Go nuts on this car, forget the 'Rover' project. This one will cost you enough time and money by the end.

The 1100 is tired.
I cbf pulling it apart and spending thousands on it when i can just get one already complete, low kays etc.

The 1100 has slow 2nd, and definitely worn rings and valve guides, stem seals.

And cam... this 998 will be getting a cam, other than stock.
I'm thinking 731 or RE13.
What are some other "mild", cams.
Lumpy at idle but good powerband (ie 2000-7000 ISH)
For a 998.
