Personally - harden up and dry your eyes...princess

I am doing this for shits and giggles...lol

Seriously, each to their own but removing chunks of integral structural integrity metal stuff is very very stupid. Consider not only yourself(important) but other road users when your car decides to crap the biscuit(more important!!!!). When putting Doof Doof fully sik woofers in, consult an expert first before cutting away metal.

It's PEOPLE who stuff cars... doesn't matter whether they are young or old. I would say that 97% of people on here value the heritage and uniqueness of what they have so therefore do not do what was done to Doogie's clubman.

Yes, the PO was young in this instance but that doesn't mean a 35yo wouldn't do the same thing just for the 'fully sik' aspect of it all. It all depends on the PERSON not their age.

All of this fighting is getting way out of hand.

Marvin - cant see any reference to age in the post - generically hypothesising.

Yes but I was also saying that people on ausmini know not to do that to the car so the fighting is pointless.

this is why god invented clubman minis in the first place..
for guages, race seats, mag wheels, doof doof etc..
if you want originality go get a bloody roundnose and tralier it around and put mirrors underneath it while you wank off to it all.

Stuffing minis has nothing to do with age, sex, religion, creed or colour, someone's idea of stuffed is anothers glory, age does bring a bit of wisdom(supposedly) but we are all capable of making mistakes no matter what age :D

are you saying an older person wouldnt crash their car? ... ive seen plenty of old guys write off their commodores around here.....

and in regards to the hole in the parcel shelf, i wouldnt have thought it was structual either....until i read it on here.

i agree with people saying, if its their car they own the right to do whatever they want, to personalise it to their taste, .... why not its their car,

and if you didnt like what was done to the car, doogie, why did you buy iy in the first place... thats what i dont understand.

I bought it because it had potential. Plus the price was right, plus i had to drive right across Sydney to look at it, plus i had my trailer there with me, plus my wife liked it, (it's her car) plus im a great haggler, plus i had a pocket full of cash. Do you need anymore reasons?

Doogie

Hay, it's not about the car, it's not about the venue, it's about the people that come here. Peter Dwyer, Mayor of Hay NSW.

i aggree that some cars should be origional, but then if its keeping the mini name alive for another few decades isnt that good too, i know my car is easily brought back to origional, and it will always be that way cos i know its a genuine origional panel shell, but for now it is orange and has all the bits i want on it. its a mini, so we should like it, no matter how it looks

Mate, you obviously had the intention to put young people down, and you have obviously said it before as well, other wise why would you right in the title "PROOF young people stuff minis", you were obviously trying to prove a point that you havent been able to prove before.

There is no answere for this other then the fact that you thought you were going to impress all the other older guys by having a go at young people.

Aren't we taking this a little too serious ? I used to flog the arse out of anything I could drive and then laugh about what the old guy's would say. Maybe we should start a poll on, Have Australian's lost there sense of humour ?
