I'm a mini lover from way back. I got my first one when i was 15. I've had more minis than you can poke a stick at. I once swapped a mk 1 s for a datto 1600 and have long regretted that mistake. In the mean time i've done up and sold quite a few minis to finance my mini addiction. I currently have a 5/70 mk2 s, a 1980 gal moke, mini k etc. WHY? coz i love em. .....Here is my dilema. i find myself 30years on from my first mini and I may be wrong, that the majority of people on ausmini and the mini scene seem to be young. Now i read this forum every day and have learned quite a bit, I'm no expert by any means and welcome every ones input. But as the restoration of my coopers nears completion [ i've owned it since 89 ] am I going to be viewed as an old fogey having a mid life crisis when i'm seen driving around in it or what ? Or is there an in between stage between old fogey and young fella? Please be gentle

My age and body might say 56 Sheriff but my mind is still 20.. You are only an old fogey if you think and act old and remember, we have all those years of experience behind us as well.

I am never going to grow up because I have seen the way adults act... :?

Just don't wear you baseball cap backwards.... thats a sure fire sign you are having a midlife crisis  There are many people over age of 40 here, i am not one just yet, but certainly heading toward soon enough. welcome and hope to see you round at the next whatever event

wearing a baseball cap backwards is a sure sign of stupity, nothing to do with age, the cap was designed to keep the sun off your face and out of your eyes :D

Apparently, the moment when you turn into your dad is when you set aside a piece of wood because it will be a good one to stir paint with.

And I think about that every single time I stir paint with a bit of wood, and now, so will all of you.
