So did the GT Clubby have door trims the same as a standard Clubby?...and only the seats were different?

czerial may be able to shed some more light on this but didn't the door cards have the 'weave' pattern on it as well??

This GT had some glaring inconsistencies which is why Doogie didn't buy it.

The top of the rear seat is correct - early Clubby's had no hump. My old Clubman (R.I.P) was a '74 model and it had the hump.

They may have been an optional extra.

Wayne tells me that they had the big bus steering wheel.

correct, the front and rear cards should also have the basket weave
pattern on them.

That steering wheel is incorrect also, it should be the big bus type.

That GT to me is not worth even looking at as a comparison mate, wait to
see all the articles i have on sunday and ask me heaps of questions. I am
fairly confident that i will be able to answer most of them for you. but that
red GT is not worth taking advice off.

also to confim the car SHOULD NOT have the hump on the
back upright seat.

Doc, i think that maybe the seats in the back of HA HA are actually
out of a clubby S. I would bet my life on it.

Well... I personally removed them from a Jet Red `71 Clubman GT, they ARE basketweave and I do have the door cards too.
 OK when DID rear seatbelts become mandatory and standard Mini fitment...??? 8)

im not sure the exact yeear, but it would have been
1974-75... that the hump came in....

Doc i think that maybe someone may have changed the seat into the GT
into a clubby S one. cos yours has cloth inserts and vinyl outers. the GT seats
were all vinyl

I believe the ADR change mandating rear seat belts was in 74

Interesting thread. So much mis-information out there and because of the lack of 'official' records, no one really knows what is correct. We can only make best guesses.

all the GT's I have owned, apart from the v early centre ignition car, have had rear seatbelts fitted. Different from 'normal' because they came from the centre of the seat, over and down to the buckle which anchored on the rear wheel arch. Belts same colour as trim.

None of the GT's have had 'basket weave' upholstery and never any cloth inserts.

Big bus steering wheel as standard - smaller sports wheel optional extra. This had 'Mini clubman GT' centre badge.

Agree with the cloth inserts part, but were you refering to your GT's when you said NONE had basket weave vinyl?

Anyone know when they changed from centre ignition to column ignition?\

Mine is 10/71 and has centre ignition.
