Haha, we had a `68 Cooper S, sold it (for $1400) and got a $100 rusty Morris 1300 auto to put on the road. That's what U do when kids come along. Good deal..

Hey, it was way back in `83 I think. My current `boss' still has that S.

Yeh my first Mini was a '63 850, a horrible grey colour, bought it in '68 for about
$400 I think.
It eventually ended up with a 850 Sports motor from Brian Sampson at Motor Improvements in Melbourne.
Traded it in on a new Cooper S in Jan'70 Mist Green with white roof, that's a story in its
self, when I ordered it in the Nov before that was the only colour the dealer (Ron Watson BMC in Muswellbrook) could get, So I go to pick it up & here's a bloody car transporter
parked in the yard with four Cooper Ss on it all different colours & mine was this yucky
pale green thing, anyway I got used to the colour after a while.
That cost $2365 plus $18 for a rear K-mac bar fitted .
Over the next 21/2 years tha car was raced, rallied, dragged, gymghanaed & generally
had the shitbags thrashed out of it, what fun.
Then I sold it S T U P I D but that's what used to happen
